John Allison shares his personal testimony of homosexuality and the lessons he has learned through his personal ministry. John does a great job laying a biblical foundation for sexuality allowing us to view the LGBTQ+ community in light of God’s grace and truth. This is a must see for any parent, leader or loved one of someone who is LGBTQ+.
Raised in Small-town Oklahoma, John grew up going to church with his family. God led him half way around the world to the middle of the Pacific Ocean when he moved to Hawaii to work with International students at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa for one year. One year became many years when God told him to stay, and God grew in his heart a deeply rooted love for the islands and all their people. He transferred to UH and graduated in 2009. He has been working for the Baptist Collegiate Ministries Oahu since 2006, fully convinced that he has the best job in the world. Mentoring, event planning, graphic design, and travel, he gets to do it all with the coolest people on the planet- college students! John states, “Who knew that when God asked me what I was doing with my life, He had a plan for me to spend it on an unbelievable adventure in relationship with Him.”
