Letting Go of Past Mistakes

Are you still carrying the weight of last year’s mistakes? It’s time to let them go.

Dear Friends,

We hope and pray you will have a wondrous and blessed New Year in 2025. May God lavish His goodness upon you!

As the new year dawns, the pages of yesterday begin to close. And yet, so many of us carry the weight of our past into the future—a burden we were never meant to bear. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to.

In Philippians 3:13-14, Paul writes,

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Paul’s words remind us that the power of the cross isn’t limited to saving us—it transforms us. Through faith in Jesus, the mistakes of yesterday are covered in grace. No matter what your past holds, God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Let Go of the Chains

Are there areas of your life where regret, guilt, or shame still whisper lies? Do you hear the voice of condemnation telling you you’re not good enough? Let me remind you of this truth: Romans 8:1 declares, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

God’s love is not earned—it’s a gift. Your past doesn’t disqualify you; in fact, God often uses broken vessels to pour out His glory. David was an adulterer, Moses a murderer, and Peter denied Christ. Yet each of them found redemption in God’s grace, and so can you.

This year, choose to believe that God’s grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). Release the weight of regret and press forward in faith. Set your eyes on the eternal prize and trust that God is at work in your story.

Let’s make 2025 the year we live as redeemed people, unashamed of our past and bold in our faith.

With you on the journey,

Michele and team
