Speaker Bios

Michele Okimura

is a visionary author, speaker, pastor, nonprofit founder, and catalyst for transformation. After serving as an elementary school teacher and later a pastor for two decades, Michele founded Explicit Movement to empower young people to walk in sexual integrity as they discover their God-given Identity. Michele is the author of seven books, including "Brave & Beautiful" and "Brave & Bold," an interactive series that empowers teens with confidence, identity, vision, and the knowledge to protect themselves from sex trafficking victimization. Michele loves to speak compassionately about godly relationships, sexuality, and identity, as well as creativity, dreaming big, and raising "kingdom" kids.

Ed & Vera Schutte

Ed Schutte is an ordained pastor of the Missionary Church and the Co-Founder and President of Before It Begins, a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry that protects and promotes biblical sexuality and gender in our churches, families, and communities. Since 2019, Before It Begins has helped save over 150 pastors from sexual temptation and sin and rescue over 1,000 children from oversexualization and gender confusion. Ed and his wife, Vera, speak at churches across the country to inspire and equip God’s people to usher in a new and biblical sexual revolution in our churches, families, and communities.

Darian Tellez

Darian, his wife Maria, and their 4 boys have Nebraska and Hawaii roots. In 2019, they were called to move from the Midwest to Hawaii where they found a new home at Inspire Church. With a strong passion for the next generation and worship, Darian is the youth pastor of Inspire Youth and worship director with a desire to reach the NOW generation, make disciples and multiple student leaders across Oahu.

Mary Colburn

Mary Perez-Colburn is the Founder and Executive Director of Project Reach Hawaiʻi, and Co-Founder of Prestige Events, bringing her passion for excellence and creativity to both nonprofit and business leadership. She and her husband, Spencer Colburn, have served together as Senior Pastors of New Life Kahuku since 2012, leading with a heart for Kingdom purpose and community transformation. With more than 20 years of experience in construction management, event coordination, and nonprofit leadership. Mary has spearheaded initiatives that provide school supplies, meals, shoes, and life-changing resources to thousands of underserved students across the islands. A wife, mother of five, and dedicated community leader, she is passionate about helping young people discover their purpose, walk in their identity, and rise as leaders who will impact the world.

Joshua Ko

Pastor Joshua Ko is the Campus Pastor at First Assembly of God East Honolulu and Regional Pastor who has been selected to become the Lead Pastor of First Assembly of God in January 2026. After serving 12 years in youth ministry, his passion is seeing people thrive in the gospel and launching them into their calling. Married to Kimberly with four young children, Ayva, Aiden, Alivia, and Azriel, Pastor Joshua is committed to world missions, church planting, and fulfilling the Great Commission. This Hawaii native believes God does extraordinary things through those who make themselves available to Him.

Nancy Vuu

Nancy Vuu is an internationally acclaimed fashion designer whose presence speaks power, purpose and creativity. She is a storyteller and advocate who has used her platform to elevate voices and ignite purpose in others. Her work in couture fashion has graced global runways, but her true impact goes far beyond fabric and design. She is a bold visionary who weaves identity, faith, and healing into everything she creates, empowering individuals to rise to their greatness. Nancy's passion for redefining beauty and worth has led her to mentor and inspire leaders around the world. She reminds us that elegance is not just in what we wear, but in how we live our lives with courage, compassion and conviction. Her dedication to humanity are evident as her designs come alive exhibiting excellence, promoting honor and proclaiming new hope. With fashion as her platform, Nancy’s influence continues to impact lives and mobilize friends around the globe eager to join her in the mission to transform lives. Dreams are awakened through her global platform as she inspires all to re-discover the possibilities! Although Nancy wears many hats, her favorite role is being a wife and mother to her four wonderful children, two of which are young adults. Nancy firmly believes that living a life of obedience to King Jesus sets you up for your greatest victory. She is passionate in teaching her children and the next generation what it looks like to partner with King Jesus and to dream without limit through living by example, mentorship and through intentional guided conversations.

Rob Okimura

Rob Okimura is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with New Hope Counseling Center. He is also an ordained minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel and was the founding pastor of Lifespring Church in Honolulu where he served as senior pastor for 23 years. He and his wife Michele have two adult children.

Guided by her commitment to leave every space better than she found it, Dayna created Lifeworks HI to transform the way we work and lead. Through individual and group leadership development programs, Lifeworks equips leaders to empower their teams and build healthier, stronger organizations. Her unique approach combines training with coaching for meaningful, lasting results. Giving back is at the heart of Dayna’s work. She serves on the Board of Soroptimist International of Honolulu and stays active in the community through mentoring, offering free workshops, scholarships, and supporting others wherever she can.

Mike Partners

Brett Moore

Brett Moore is the co-founder of RealExpert Inc, an AI company that creates turnkey publishing companies. He was born and raised on Maui and grew up as a musician and worship leader at Hope Chapel Maui. Brett produces music, books, and film projects. His overall goal is to help the entire world grow their creative genius.

Dean Kaneshiro

Dean Kaneshiro is a certified Building Family Connections instructor through the Medical Institute for Sexual Health, and has been equipping parents and youth in practical tools for healthy living in digital media, dating, parenting, and sexuality for over 15 years. He is the Family Director at C4 and has seven children with his wife, Holly, ranging from ages 24 down to 6yrs old. Malia Colburn

Malia Colburn is a passionate leader, creative entrepreneur, and youth mentor from Hawaiʻi. She is actively involved in ministry through The Jesus Youth Crew and her Bible study team, where she encourages young people to discover their identity in Christ and grow in faith. Alongside her ministry, she is working to create effective businesses and pursuing opportunities in social media marketing and travel. With a heart for empowering the next generation, Malia combines her creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and love for Jesus to inspire youth to live with purpose and confidence in who they are called to be.
